Survey from de Montfort University, Leicester | October 14, 2009

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and De Montfort University, School of Pharmacy are working together to produce a medical device that might help people with diabetes maintain the right level of glucose in their blood. The NHS funds the research. Part of the study involves us finding out the attitudes and experiences of people with diabetes. We would therefore like to invite you to take part in this survey because you have either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes and use insulin. It is an opportunity for you to discuss your experience with various aspects of your diabetes and the information we get from this study could help improve the treatment of people with diabetes in the future. The information gained could also help the research toward a possible prototype medical device.

I’ve just filled in this comprehensive survey and it amazes me exactly how much research and knowledge there is about diabetes. I was encouraged to find these quesitons (in my case for a pump user) so thorough. I even learned a thing or two.
